But there is a serious disconnect with the tools and infrastructure given to people to grow their relationships. We build highways to connect cities, yet struggle with developing deep and true relationships.
When people feel heard, they feel valued.
It’s that simple, yet that profound. In our rush to solve problems, we often forget that sometimes people don’t need solutions, they need presence. They need someone to sit with them in their joy, their pain, their confusion, their hope.
The technology we’ve created excels at efficiency but often fails at empathy. We can send a message across the world in seconds, but can we convey understanding to someone sitting across from us? We have social networks that connect billions, yet loneliness has become an epidemic.
People want to be good. They want to be good parents, good friends, good neighbors, good coworkers. But goodness needs nurturing, and nurturing needs connection, and connection starts with being heard.
Easydeck will work on providing products and services to help repair our relational infrastructure. Our mission is to:
Enable people to increase their social capital in their communities regardless of age or identity.
